Ach Du Lieber Augustin

Ach, du lieber Augustin, Augustin, Augustin,
Ach, du lieber Augustin, alles ist hin!
Geld ist weg, Mädl ist weg, alles weg, alles weg!
Ach, du lieber Augustin, alles ist hin!

Ach, du lieber Augustin, ‘s Geld ist hin, ‘s Mädl ist
hin;
Ach, du lieber Augustin, alles ist hin!
‘s Geld ist weg, ‘s Mädl ist weg,
Augustin liegt im Dreck!
Ach, du lieber Augustin, alles ist hin!

Origin:

There is more than one account of exactly who Liebe Augustine was, but according to Viennese legend, he was a wandering musician who was struck down by the plague in 1679, buried in a common pit, but was not dead after all, and got himself out the next morning, only to find out that everything he had had was gone.
